Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè (/ˈjɘlɘ/ /ɘˈzitɘ/ [clay] [spouse]) is a subtropical Town located in the Vapíatacê Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè was founded by Hèsil Tsmtho, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè has a yearly average temperature of 26°C (78°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 28°C (82°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 24°C (75°F). Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè receives an average of 270 cm/y (106 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 1642 m (5387 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè was founded durring the late 12th century in summer of the year 1074, by Hèsil Tsmtho. The establishment of Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè is is constructed arround a series of crampt baked earthen mainstreets which form concentric circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to each other at varrious points. The town has a defencive wall made from querried stone. The wall is equipped with a full set of battlments but the nature of its construction methodology leaves it somewhat vulnerable to siege equipment. That said, the town is well defended against anything short of an army. Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè's cost-cutting-focused defences has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.

A quick look in any direction shows Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè is filled with vices. There are many taverns, brothels are advertising their services on the streets, cardsharks are plying their illicit trade within public squairs, and every shop has at least three signs advertising various sales on goods. That alone wouldn’t be too noticeable, if it wasn’t just so omnipresent and overwhelmingly how the people of this town live.

Civic Infrastructure

Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè's parks.

Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè.

Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè has a Guild of Nurses, which is tasked with caring for the elderly and infirm in accordance with local ordinances, religious values, and customs.

Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè's natural decorations nor waterways.

Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

The locals have cut a deal with some unspeakable entity, trading some form of tribute (benign of horrific) in exchange for the being’s forbearance or assistance. Outsiders may be ignorant of the bargain, or they may know that the community is in thrall but be too fearful of its master to take action against them. The creature likely serves as a protector as well as a tyrant, so the locals may be content with the deal even if it doesn’t offer any further inducement or aid.

Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is famous for its stately symmetry, classical elements, and grand appearance. Columns and pillars, such as Corinthian columns, are often seen supporting open structures or porticos. Symmetry is an important feature of this style, with each half of a building mirroring the other. Domed ceilings and windows grace these buildings, with everything placed in a mathematical arrangement.

In Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè hail is always enormous, yet harmlessly plinks off people, creatures, and structures.

The Herd Animal, Stag near Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè are known to be quite timid.

Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in autumn and involves reenactments to channel Necromancy energies of tier 2 via throat singing.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century was ravaged by a deadly sickness. was the epicenter of the disaster, but Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè suffered the most. Yêlê-êzitê Dêtîkè lost 248 people, 315 livestock, and 72 buildings in the disaster.. The disaster is spoken of in hushed whispers as the Wrath of Torment.
